winner of 'Photographer of the year' 2011 ( 4x winner of "photographer of the year")

The capital of México, very old, the worlds 2nd largest city, the cultural center of México, the nightlife capital of México, one of the world's most difficult cities to drive in, filled with exciting things to see and do, an energetic metropolis or just an incredible place to visit.

México City is definitely all of the above...and much, much more. This is truly one of the most interesting and diverse cities in the world. México City holds many pleasant surprises for those who choose to vacation there.

México City should be on your "Must Visit" list if you are a fan of world-class museums , archeological treasures, international cuisine, incredible shopping experiences, stately mansions, colonial neighborhoods, dazzling nightlife, inviting plazas and gardens or great city parks. The National Museum of Anthropology is one on the world's great museums , and could easily occupy a short vacation by itself.

Don't let the sheer size of México City scare you, most tourists will most likely confine their visits to three or four well defined areas of the city and maybe some easy side trips .

May Haga
recently won Best in Show at the Saskatoon Exhibition for her photograph of a Loggerhead Shrike; she also was awarded Best in Show at the Reflections of Nature wildlife art show for her photograph of a Snow Bunting. “Seeing my frustration when trying to take pictures of garden flowers and backyard birds using an outdated film camera, my husband bought me a digital camera.” She adds, “To learn where to find more than backyard birds I joined the Saskatoon Nature Society, and to improve my photographic skills I joined the Saskatoon Camera Club. Six years and more than a few equipment upgrades later I am now an avid nature photographer.”

Help Portrait is Seeking Volunteers

Help Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.

Krystian Olszanski organized a Help-Portrait event in Saskatoon last year and it was a big success. This year, his plan is to reach more people who could benefit from a free portrait session.

If you're a photographer, stylist or volunteer living in the Saskatoon area, we would like you to join us in this effort to give back to the community. Help us bring joy to others through photography. We are looking for sponsors as well.

Join Krystian & 25k photogs as we give back on Dec 10: Give, don’t take pictures.

A bit more info about the event:

Event will take place at the White Buffalo Youth Lodge on Dec 10th.
